A save-the-date postcard will be sent to families of first-year, sophomore, and new transfer students in mid-August.  All other information will be provided online and/or sent via email. Check back here for Family Weekend updates and final schedules.

Once you arrive on campus for the weekend, you will need to check in at the designated check-in location to receive Family Weekend swag and information. If you have any questions prior to your arrival, please reference this site and your emails, and then email with any additional questions.

Yes! Family members and guests are welcome at all events. Please note: They must be accounted for in your registration, which includes the student and up to five family members.

Family Weekend begins on Friday, October 19, 2018. If your schedule allows, we suggest that you arrive on campus by early Friday afternoon to be able to fully participate in the deans’ receptions, which begin at 5:00 p.m., and other on-campus activities. Family Weekend registered events officially conclude on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. Worship services, events, and performances will take place later that morning and that afternoon, so you may wish to remain in town through the end of the day. However, many families plan to leave in the late morning or early afternoon.

We see many styles of dress ranging from casual to business attire. Business casual is recommended for receptions and evening trips in DC. Casual attire is appropriate for most other events. We recommend that you dress in layers, though, since temperatures may vary outdoors and inside buildings on campus. Be sure to pack an umbrella and comfortable walking shoes too!

Seniors’ families are invited to campus in late January / early February for a special Senior Parents Weekend. These dates will be posted on the Georgetown Senior Class Committee website in the coming months. Visit the Senior Class Committee’s website for more information.
