Academic Welcome Ceremony

The Academic Welcome Ceremony is a treasured tradition for new students and their families during Spring Orientation. This is the ceremonial matriculation of new undergraduate students into the Georgetown academic community. Participation is mandatory for students and strongly encouraged for family members. Students will hear from the President, the Provost, their Deans, a fellow student, and participate in the Honor Pledge.

This year the ceremony will be virtual so more family members will be able to participate as witnesses to the event. Students, their families, and our speakers will be all around the globe but viewing together through the gift of technology.
