Traveling to Georgetown
Transit / Parking information for Family Weekend
Guest parking will not be available in the Southwest Garage on campus on Friday.
Public Transportation: Guests are encouraged to take Metro and transfer to free Georgetown University Transportation Shuttles (GUTS) at either Dupont Circle (Red Line) or Rosslyn (Blue/Orange Line). The GUTS bus schedules and maps can be found on the Office of Transportation Management (OTM) website. You may also take taxis or ride shares to and from campus.
Satellite Parking: We will be offering free satellite parking at the Harris Building parking garage (3300 Whitehaven Street, NW) and are providing free shuttle service to and from campus from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (a 10 minute shuttle ride). Shuttles will be running every 10 minutes instead of every 20 minutes. Here is the map with directions from campus to the Harris Building parking garage. You must retrieve your car from the Harris parking garage by 7:30 p.m. There will be no attendant or access to the garage after this time.
Accessible Parking: If you have a disability or medical condition that requires you to park closer to campus, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Request for Parking Accommodations.”
Parking is available and free in the Southwest Garage on campus (3611 Canal Road, NW). The GUTS buses do not run on the weekends.
